Benefit Overview
This benefit rewards you for your loyalty to Harley-Davidson when you are both a qualified H-D Visa® cardmember and a Full Member in the Harley Owner Group (H.O.G. ®). After the program launches on 1/1/2020 and once you're a Qualifying Cardmember, you can begin to earn points for the miles you ride. Every mile you ride gets you one point on your Harley-Davidson® Visa account. Points can be redeemed for an H-D Gift Card to spend on gear, service or anything at participating H-D® retail locations.
In order to earn and be awarded points for each mile you ride on your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle, you must first be a Qualifying Cardmember. After becoming a Qualifying Cardmember, then you must get an odometer reading recorded at a H-D® dealership to activate this benefit. After that, each additional odometer reading that is recorded will be eligible to receive points for as long as you remain a Qualifying Cardmember.
Qualifying for the Benefit
To earn and be awarded points for the miles you ride, you must be the Primary H-D Visa® cardmember, have an account that is open and in good standing and be an active Full, National H.O.G.® member (Qualifying Cardmember). Your first name, last name and address on your H-D Visa® account must match the same data fields within the H.O.G.® membership record. See Full Rules (PDF).
You'll know you are the Primary H-D Visa® cardmember if you are the first person listed on your H-D Visa® monthly statement. If you have questions about whether you're the Primary H-D Visa® cardmember, you can call H-D Visa® Cardmember Services at 800-699-2281 to confirm.
You can apply for an H-D Visa® card and if approved, you will be the Primary cardmember.
You are a Full H.O.G.® member if you see "Full" and not "Associate" on your membership card or under "Membership Type" on the "Manage Your Membership" page on HOG.com. If you are an Associate H.O.G.® member with an H-D® motorcycle VIN and a Primary H-D Visa® cardmember, you can apply for a Full H.O.G.® membership by calling 1-800-CLUB-HOG (800-258-2464).
You can compare your first name, last name and address on your H-D Visa® statement with your H.O.G.® member information available on HOG.com under "Manage Your Membership" or by calling 1-800-CLUB-HOG (800-258-2464) to determine if they match exactly. If they do not, call 1-800-CLUB-HOG (800-258-2464) to update your information in the H.O.G.® membership system.
Yes. As long as you get an odometer reading entered under your Full H.O.G.® membership to activate the benefit and then additional odometer entries that reflect the mileage you rode as a passenger.
The RIDE365 Program
Yes. As an active, Full H.O.G.® member, mileage readings on your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle are entered into the RIDE365 system and used to populate your Lifetime, Annual, Chapter Challenge and Points for Miles Ridden programs based on each program’s rules.
You simply ride to your local Harley-Davidson® dealership and ask them to enter your current mileage into an odometer reading for each of your Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. While not a requirement, we suggest you call your preferred H-D® dealer to understand the best times to come in and have your odometer read. Each location determines how they enter odometer readings, so calling ahead will help ensure you know what to expect.
Odometer Readings
After becoming a Qualifying Cardmember, an initial odometer reading must be recorded at a H-D® dealership for each of your Harley-Davidson® motorcycles. Ride to your local dealer to get an odometer reading to activate this benefit as soon as possible to ensure you don’t miss out on earning points for all the miles you ride. This odometer reading can also kick off your participation in other H.O.G.® Mileage Programs if you have not already had an odometer reading entered for the RIDE 365 Mileage Programs. After each additional odometer reading is recorded at an H-D dealership, you will be eligible to earn points for the miles you rode between each reading.
You can get an odometer reading at a local or preferred H-D® dealership location. While not a requirement, we suggest you call your preferred H-D® dealership to understand the best times to come in and have your odometer read. Don’t forget to bring your H.O.G.® card to help the dealership easily find your record in the H.O.G.® member system. Each location determines how they enter odometer readings, so calling ahead will help ensure you know what to expect.
Once you are a Qualifying Cardmember, you are required to get an odometer reading after 1/1/2020, to activate this benefit. At a minimum, you should plan to get at least one more odometer reading per calendar year to ensure you earn the most points possible in that calendar year plus get credit in the Ride 365 Annual Contest.
No. Miles logged before your activation odometer reading will not count toward this benefit. In order to maintain the integrity of this program and all RIDE 365 Mileage Programs, mileage will only be calculated and credited for miles ridden between each odometer reading. Catch up mileage entries will not be eligible to earn points for miles or earn credit in the Annual or Chapter contests. It is important for you to regularly get odometer readings at your participating dealership in order to earn your benefits and awards.
Yes, you will need to have an odometer reading recorded AFTER you become a Qualifying Cardmember in order to activate this benefit. This reading will count as a reading in the RIDE 365 Mileage Program as well. After the benefit is activated, you will be eligible to earn points after each additional odometer reading for as long as you remain a Qualifying Cardmember.
To maintain the integrity of the program, mileage must be read, entered and certified at an authorized Harley-Davidson® dealership.
Earning Points
Yes. You can earn up to a maximum of 50,000 points in each calendar year for a potential of $500! Any miles recorded over this amount will still be applied toward the other RIDE 365 Mileage Programs, but you will not receive any additional points for miles under this H-D Visa® benefit for the calendar year. At the start of the new calendar year, you will again be eligible to earn 50,000 points for miles for as long as you remain a Qualifying Cardmember.
Points will be awarded 8-12 weeks after a qualifying odometer reading is recorded by the dealer, unless further verification is requested for award. U.S. Bank reserves the right to request verification of odometer readings before awarding points.
In some cases, we may require bike registrations, rental agreements, maintenance records, H-D Connect data, GPS data, personal sales receipts (i.e. fuel receipts) and other items to verify a mileage submission. In order to continue to offer this program, we need to be able to confirm that the program is being used for the purpose it was intended which is to reward you for the miles you are ride on your Harley-Davidson® motorcycle as a Qualifying Cardmember. The bottom line is that the more often you get an odometer reading, the less likely there will be a need for additional verification.
You will find the total points you’ve earned from this benefit on your H-D Visa® monthly statement. It will be listed as “Bonus for Miles Ridden”. Your points for this H-D Visa® mileage benefit will not appear in your H.O.G.® profile and the H.O.G.® Customer Service Team will not have direct access to this information.
Points will be awarded on the account with the highest Program Points balance, or the most recently opened account if balances are equal.
If you were a Qualifying Cardmember when the odometer reading is recorded and when the points are applied, you should see points awarded 8-12 weeks after a qualifying odometer reading. If it has been more than 12 weeks and your points are still not listed on your monthly H-D Visa® statement, further verification may be required. Please call H-D Visa® Cardmember Services at 800-699-2281. See Full Rules (PDF).
Each mile earns you a point and each point is worth $0.01. If you ride 10,000 miles in a year, that’s $100.00 in points that you can redeem for an H-D Gift Card to use on anything at a participating H-D® retail location.
Motorcycles and Passengers
Harley-Davidson® motorcycles that are owned or rented by the Qualifying Cardholder will be eligible to earn points. VIN’s must be identified as a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle to qualify and entered into the Ride 365 system properly by the Dealer. If the complete H-D® VIN is not entered, you will not receive points for miles because we cannot verify that it was a H-D® motorcycle.
Yes. As a Qualifying Cardmember, you will need to get an odometer reading recorded for each H-D® motorcycle you own after 1/1/2020, to activate this benefit for that VIN. After each additional reading, for each registered bike, the miles you ride will be accumulated and you will earn points up to a maximum of 50,000 in each calendar year.
